West Jaiñtia Hills police arrested four persons including a woman in possession of heroin in the early hours today.
A police team acting on a tip-off about inter-state drug traffickers launched an operation and intercepted two vehicles under Raliang OP Naka with suspected heroin hidden in a secret chamber of one of the vehicle bearing Assam registration number.
Thirteen soap boxes containing heroin weighing 152 gms with a market value of Rs 76 lakh, cash of Rs 52,550, three mobile phones were recovered.
Police said the vehicles were also seized and a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act is being taken up against the four suspects.
