In a case that stretches back more than 10 years, three men were convicted and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy.
The three guilty men were identified as Mahindra Sahi, Asun alias Oshun Chettri and Bobby Chettri. They were convicted by the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate on March 17.
It was on June 11, 2011 that an FIR was lodged alleging that a 13-year-old boy had been sexually assaulted by three men. The three suspects, now proven guilty, were charge-sheeted on July 7 that same year.
