Shillong, Sep 9: Two young Kurash athletes bagged bronze medals at the 10th Sub-Junior National Kurash Championships 2026 held in Ludhiana, Punjab.
The medal winners are 11-year-old Sonali Koch (24kg category), who is a student of Valley View Secondary School in Pynthorbah, and 13-year-old Josaiah Thanga (55kg category), a student of St George’s Higher Secondary School.
In recognition of their achievement, Balamphang Kharkongor, international Kurash coach, congratulated the two athletes and encouraged them to continue improving and excelling in the martial art form.
