Shillong, Oct 12: The State Council of Science, Technology and Environment (SCSTE), Meghalaya announced the successful selection of students from the first batch of the Meghalaya STAR-30 Programme for medical and allied health courses.
Seventeen students of the coaching programme successfully secured admission in 2025-26, including the state quota topper.
Launched on National Science Day 2024, Meghalaya STAR-30 is a free, residential coaching programme that is an initiative for promising students from the state who aspire to qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and pursue medical and allied health courses. The programme is designed especially for students from underprivileged and rural backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to quality medical entrance coaching.
The first batch was inaugurated on July 15, 2024, while the second batch (2025–26) was launched on July 15 this year.
Congratulating the selected candidates, officials from SCSTE Meghalaya expressed pride in the achievements of the state’s young talents.
