There are 15 ongoing Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) in Meghalaya with a total funding of Rs 2,518 crore received over the last five years.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in a response to an unstarred question by Leader of Opposition Dr. Mukul Sangma informed that consultants were engaged for the implementation of the projects.
“The total amount spent across these projects so far stands at Rs 2,797.41 crore,” he said.
The projects are, Renovation & Modernization of Umiam – Umtru Stage – III, Community Based Forest Management & Livelihoods Improvement in Meghalaya (MegLIFE), Meghalaya Livelihood and Access to Markets Project (Megha-LAMP), Meghalaya Power Distribution Sector Improvement Project, Enhancing the Livelihood of Rural Community of Meghalaya Through Use of Renewable Energy Mini-grids.
Also, Meghalaya Integrated Transport Project (MITP), Meghalaya Health Systems Strengthening Project (MHSSP), Dam Rehabilitation & Improvement Project (DRIP) Phase – II & III, Protection of Vulnerable Catchment Areas in Meghalaya (MegARISE), TA for accompanying measures for Farmer Mobilization project / Sustainable Land Management (SLM), Meghalaya Eco-Tourism Infrastructure Development Project (MEIDP), Climate Adaptive Community Based Water Harvesting Project in Meghalaya, Meghalaya Early Childhood Development (ECD) Mission, Supporting Human Capital Development in Meghalaya (Phase – II) and Meghalaya Program for Adolescent Wellbeing, Employment and Resilience (MPOWER).
