A five-day international youth exchange programme is being held at the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) for youth from India and neighbouring Bangladesh.
The academic exposure training and visit is being organised by the Tripura Adventure Social Expedition Organization, which began yesterday and conclude on October 22, with an iam to create an international perspective in youth and to involve them in promoting peace and understanding.
Meghalaya Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh who inaugurated the programme said such exchange programmes will foster growth in an individual. He said such programmes encourage youth to grow independently and build life-long connections.
He also spoke about the international learning and exposure for youth.
The programme is being organized in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Nehru Yuva Kendra under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India and NEHU and Bangabandhu Sheikh Majibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur Bangladesh.
