The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will host a comprehensive workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at the State Convention Centre here on August 7.
The event aims to provide crucial insights and guidance to stakeholders from various sectors across Meghalaya.
Ishantor Sobhapandit, Regional Director – NER, Indian Chamber of Commerce, and Gunanka D.B, IFS, Member Secretary, State Council of Science Technology and Environment (SCSTE) Meghalaya will grace the occasion.
Shankar Kumar Jha, Campus Director, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Meghalaya, and Dr. Sangita Majee, Head, IKP Prime, Hyderabad, will also be the key speakers.
Speakers will cover a range of topics vital to understanding and navigating the complexities of IPR.
This workshop is pivotal for all stakeholders, including the Government, Food Industry, Handloom, Handicraft, Research Scholars, Tourism, Hospitality, Retail, and E-Commerce sectors from Meghalaya, the ICC said.
Participants will gain invaluable knowledge on the legal prospects of IPR, guidelines for MSMEs on patents and trademarks, insights into leveraging geographical indications for economic benefits, and the fundamentals of technology transfer.
