Impulse NGO Network team, in collaboration with Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) and Indian School of Business (ISB) will organise a workshop tomorrow at Pine Wood Hotel here for journalists of Meghalaya on ‘Using Data to Support News Content’.
The hour-long workshop will equip the journalists with accessing data and visualisations to support news content efficiently.
The workshop will focus on ‘Data backed Journalism and supporting News Stories with Data’. Journalists who attend the session shall be awarded certificates upon completion of the workshop.
Participants will get hands-on experience selecting data and creating visualisations to support their news stories. The objective is to equip journalists and budding journalists with data analytics and help them use data to support content.
India Data Portal (IDP) powered by the Indian School of Business (ISB) is promoting the use of authentic data for use in a presentation, reports, thesis, content writing, journalism, research and even in any stream of higher education too.
The portal is one of its kind of ‘Digital Data Diary’ prepared for journalists and updated regularly to meet the news requirements. It is a new leap in the evolution of the digital world. This is a pro bono initiative to equip journalists with data support and promote data-backed journalism in the digital era.
