Incessant rains have resulted in water logging and mudslide near the Sonapur tunnel along National Highway 6 disrupting the smooth flow of traffic.
Traffic movement was opened only after 5 pm as efforts were made by authorities to clear the road.
The East Jaiñtia Hills Police had also issued a traffic advisory urging commuters to drive cautiously through this portion of the highway.
