The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in the State today. This year’s theme is “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”.
Meghalaya Chief Secretary Donald P. Wahlang today administered the Integrity Pledge at the Main Secretariat building premises here in the presence of senior government officials.
Meanwhile, the BSF Meghalaya Frontier formally commenced Vigilance Awareness Week with the Integrity Pledge administered by Inder Dev Singh, Deputy Inspector General (PSO) of BSF Meghalaya Frontier.
During the event, BSF personnel reaffirmed their dedication to combating corruption and fostering a work environment rooted in honesty and integrity.
BSF Meghalaya Frontier has planned a series of activities throughout the week, including debate competitions, essay writing, leaflet distribution, workshops, and outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness among border populations. These efforts seek to encourage a culture of integrity and provide assistance in sustaining ethical practices within the community.
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has initiated the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, which is scheduled from October 28 to November 3 under the theme: “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity”.
The Vigilance Awareness week is being held during the last week of October to encourage all stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of, and the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes and gravity of and the threat posed by corruption.
Vigilance Awareness Week, observed nationwide, serves to reinforce anti-corruption efforts and highlights the importance of integrity in building a prosperous nation.
