Shillong, Oct 13: The house-to-house verification of voters to update the electoral roll in Meghalaya is expected to be completed on October 18.
The Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls began across the State on August 20 with house-to-house verification of voters and polling station rationalisation.
The integrated draft electoral roll will be published on October 29.
Claims and objections on the draft electoral roll can be done from October 29 to November 28.
The final electoral roll will be published on January 6, 2025.
Recently, 2,179,106 voters have been verified out of a total of 2,241,984.
The revision process has identified 23,161 expired voters and 1,354 duplicate entries across Meghalaya.
East Khasi Hills, the most populous district, reported the highest number of expired voters at 7,822, while West Khasi Hills noted the most duplicates at 365.
