Kapil Moreshwar Patil, Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, and Pralad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti, paid a visit to Ri-Bhoi to inspect various flagship programmes that have been sponsored by the central government.
Patil visited Mawlein Mawkhan and Lumumpih village and interacted with village leaders, Village Employment Council members and beneficiaries among the public. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, Umsning Block Development Officer Raja Brahma and others.
In his speech, Patil said that the central government has launched various flagship programmes in the country to bring change to India.
Meanwhile, Patel visited Borgang village for the inspection of the Jal Jeevan Mission, which is one of the flagship programmes aimed at providing potable water to every household in the rural villages. He also interacted with Public Health Engineering officials and beneficiaries among the public.
Speaking to the media, Patil expressed his satisfaction over the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
