Umroi MLA George B Lyngdoh has accused the state government of apathy towards the plight of farmers in Meghalaya.
Lyngdoh said that farmers of Ri-Bhoi were not assisted during the hardest times of the Covid-19 pandemic. He also claimed that the government’s flagship FOCUS programme, though it is geared towards agriculture, does not help the farmers with their actual needs and requirements.
