Members of the Umlaper village committee has raised objection to the construction of a boundary wall on a village road by the Amrit cement company and urged it to immediately halt works.
The committee members said that prior to the establishment of the company there were two roads which the villagers used as pavement or roadway to pass through to the national highway. While one was closed down by the company, a boundary wall is now under construction on the other road.
“Such closure of the road which has been there for a long time will inconvenience the people who have been using it to go to the national highway,” the members said.
The village committee further urged the company to work out on changing the worn out underground electric wires connecting the village as they pose dangers to the people.
