Shillong, Jan 28: East Khasi Hills Police arrested two persons allegedly involved in a mobile snatching incident in Golflinks.
The arrest was made based on an FIR that two pedestrians were assaulted on January 21 at around 6: 30 pm. According to the complainants, two assailants, riding a Scooty near the CM Connect building assaulted and snatched away their mobile phones.
Following an investigation, police yesterday arrested Kitbok Kitbok Thabah alias Koi (29) of Golflinks, Khliehshnong and his co-accused, Daniel Syiemlieh (23) of Nongmynsong Dongkamon
Police said a case has been registered at Sadar PS under Section 115(2)/304(2)/3(5) BNS.
The stolen mobile phones were recovered and seized, and the Scooty used during the commission of the offence (ML05 AG0461) was also seized.
