West Garo Hills police arrested two persons and seized 700 grams of marijuana from their possession.
Police said based on credible information yesterday a team from Phulbari conducted a search in the house of one Fozidur Islam of Khaprabari, Belbari and recovered 227 grams of the contraband.
On his lead, the team also searched the house of one Mominur Islam, where an additional 472 grams of marijuana was recovered, police said.
Cash of Rs 66, 970, two mobile phones, a SBI ATM card were also seized from the accused.
A case has been registered at Phulbari PS under sections of the NDPS Act and investigation is on.
