The Covid-19 positivity rate in Tura has fallen to around seven percent, it was revealed today.
The positivity rate measures the number of people who test positive as a proportion of the tests conducted.
West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh informed a meeting here today that the rate has fallen in the district headquarters, which is a positive sign that containment measures are working.
The DC also stressed on the need to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour and to provide psychological and spiritual counselling services. He also urged the Block Development Officers to motivate the rural people to get vaccinated and to adopt the Covid appropriate behaviour and sought the cooperation of all concerned in the society.
