Shillong, Aug 19: To provide better opportunities for young people in the field of beauty and wellness, Accentuate Academy was officially inaugurated in Mairang on August 16.
The academy aims to serve as a training centre, offering courses in makeup, hairstyling, and other beauty-related skills.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. L.R. Hynniewta, Block Development Officer (BDO) of Mairang Block, as the Chief Guest. She emphasized the significance of the academy in empowering local youth to build their careers in the fast-growing beauty and wellness industry.
“At a time when unemployment is a major challenge, such initiatives would empower young people to stand on their own feet, enhance their skills, and pursue better opportunities instead of limiting themselves to classroom learning,” Dr. Hynniewta said.
Badap Hynniewta, founder of the academy, expressed his vision for setting up the centre, stemming from his passion to expand training opportunities and make them accessible to talented youth. He acknowledged the challenges faced in establishing the academy, emphasizing that success requires hard work, determination, and perseverance.
The academy’s establishment is expected to open doors for local youth to pursue careers in the beauty and wellness industry, which is growing rapidly.
