A tourist from Hyderabad drowned at a natural pool in Nongriat, a famous tourist spot near Sohra.
23-year-old Pawan Kumar and his friends were swimming in the popular Blue Lagoon pool, situated close to the double-decker root-bridge at Nongriat, when he suddenly drowned.
His body was retrieved by his friends with the help of local villagers.
It may be recalled that a 24-year old tourist from Chattisgarh lost his life after he drowned in the Rainbow Falls at Nongriat on December 7, 2017.
Atul Ravi Khalkho hailing from Rajnandgaon district of Chattisgarh jumped into the deepest part of the pool despite his inability to swim and drowned.
The natural pool and root-bridges at Nongriat, not particularly accessible by road, are visited by tourists from all over the world.
One has to trek at least 4,000 steps from Tyrna to reach the spot.
