TMC State President Charles Pyngrope has exuded confidence that the party would win the upcoming 2023 assembly elections and bring about a sea of change in Meghalaya.
Addressing the party block committee meeting in Sohra today he said, “We are confident that we will win the upcoming 2023 election. The people of Sohra need a change, and Trinamool Congress is here to work towards the welfare of the people.”
TMC MLA George B. Lyngdoh said that the party is the only credible alternative for the people. He lambasted the government over the unemployment crisis and said, “There are two options; one is the corrupted ruling dispensation, while the other is TMC which is the only credible alternative. When Meghalaya TMC aims to give hope, faith, and opportunities to the youth, the NPP-led MDA has left them in shambles with hopelessness.”
TMC leader Harold Khongsit said, “We need a change for the Sohra constituency because we have passed 50 years of statehood, yet I don’t see any tangible change in the constituency. There is no development in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and unemployment. We wanted to work on these issues as these are the main agenda of TMC. If you want change, I need the support of each and every one to make it happen”
