Thousands of Catholic faithful attended a Eucharistic procession in and around the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians in Laitumkhrah, Shillong Archdiocese today.
The principal celebrant of the procession was the Apostolic Nuncio (the Holy See’s ambassador) to India and Nepal, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, who presided over the ceremony in the presence of Shillong Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh.
Additionally, Nongstoin Bishop Wilbert Marwein, Jowai Bishop Ferdinand Dkhar and Auxiliary Bishop of Aizawl Bishop Joachim Walder contributed to the occasion.
