A tanker lost control and overturned on National Highway 2 (NH-2) near the 10-mile mark from Jorabat, causing heavy traffic congestion in the area.
The Nagaland-registered vehicle (NL 01AF 3480) was en route to Jorabat from Guwahati when it overturned in front of the NRL petrol pump. The driver sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately rushed to Sonapur District Hospital for medical treatment.
