Rabindranath Tagore Club of Laban started its 14th Inter Shillong Cultural Event 2024 today.
The club organised a Rabindra Sangeet Competition & Folk Song Competition today.at Laban Assamese Girls Higher Secondary School. The judges of the Rabindra Sangeet were Ruma Dhar, Sanchita Chakraborty and Joyeeta Das.
For the folk song competition, the judges were Paromita Paul, Abhijit Das and Dhananjoy Goswami. A special Khasi group folk song was performed by Seraphine Mawlong and team before the folk song competition.
On July 28 the club will hold a dance on Tagore songs (solo) and dance on folk song (solo – any state folk song) competition, which will be held at the same venue.
