Six persons have been rushed to NEIGRIHMS here after they suffered severe injuries in a car accident in West Khasi Hills today.
The victims were on their way to the Presbyterian Church Synod Sepngi service at Lyngkhoi when the taxi they were travelling in fell into a ditch near Lyngkhoi.
There were seven people in the taxi. They included three women. All of them are residents of Mawliehbah.
The injured were taken to NEIGRIHMS by ambulance.
In another road accident, a man died on the spot after he was run over by an unknown vehicle at Lad Mukhla, West Jaintia Hills today at around 8:30 pm.
Police are trying to establish the identity of the deceased and also to trace the vehicle that hit him.
