Mawkyrwat, Sep 16 : The South West Khasi Hills district administration has alerted people after a person from Mawsaw village tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday.
A release by the office of the deputy commissioner said that one Handarius Sangriang was tested positive for the virus and urged people who have come into contact with the family members of the person and those who attended a funeral at Mawsaw village on September 14 to undergo home quarantine for 10 days and to
wait instructions for testing from the district surveillance officer.
The deputy commissioner has urged people to call control room number 6909904336/9485153533 in case they develop flu like symptoms.
Meanwhile, in another order the house of the patient and the adjacent houses have been declared as containment areas and
contract tracing is on.
