To inculcate a scientific temperament and to stimulate their interest in the subject, the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Eastern Air Command, visited the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) on a one day scientific exposure today.
More than 100 students along with four teachers visited different laboratories and the Orchidarium on the IBSD campus.
The students showed immense excitement and interest during their interaction with IBSD scientists, Sunil S Thorat, Evanylla Kharlyngdoh, Sushil Kumar Chaudhary and scholars, a press release said. The students gained an insight into the functioning and uses of various scientific instruments and facilities available at IBSD.
The students and teachers were also encouraged to develop innovative ideas towards science and technology that can be applied for societal upliftment and sustainable development.
