An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Myanmar today at 3:52 am.
The tremors were felt in several north-eastern states, including Meghalaya, Assam and Manipur.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was at a depth of 140 km, 162km northwest of Burma in Myanmar.
Another earthquake of 3.8-magnitude, with epicentre in Kamjong, Manipur, hit the region at 7:53 am.
