After SSLC students claimed that questions in the Social Science exam were not covered in the syllabus, the Controller of Examinations at the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE), TR Laloo, today stated that this was not the case.
“It is not fair to say that it was set out of the syllabus,” Laloo told Highland Post. “All the questions were set from the syllabus as prescribed by the board.”
He admitted that there were slight changes in the pattern of questions as compared to previous years’ papers, however, but more options were given to the students to attempt the exam.
Students who had gone through their textbooks thoroughly would not have faced any problem, Laloo added.
Meanwhile, when asked if MBOSE would also take into consideration the disruption of classes given the Covid-19 pandemic, which kept students away from normal classes, he said that the board will always take the interest of the students as a priority, irrespective of the subject and the pandemic situation.
The court said the rosters are prepared in respect of all posts whereupon, after applying the reservation policy, future recruitment can be conducted by adhering to the ratio of reservation.
