SSA school teachers in Garo Hills have called off the mass rally scheduled earlier to protest against unpaid salaries.
The decision was taken by the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers Association after the state government released their two out of three months pending dues.
The association said an order to release the pending salaries was released by the SEMAM State Project Office yesterday.
In a press statement issued here the teachers however said that association are not satisfied with the salary disbursement system of the state government to all the SSA teachers.
The association urged the government to credit their salaries to their bank accounts. It said that the state government had released the salary order since last week from the October 11 without crediting a single paisa to their accounts.
