A special holiday has been declared for November 4 for all primary schools in Meghalaya as Shillong will host the All India Primary Teachers Federation conference.
The conference will take place at Polo Ground here on November 3-5.
Delegates from all states of the country will participate in the event, a press release said today.
The All Meghalaya Primary Teachers State Association (AMPSTA) has invited all primary teachers of the state to attend the open session on November 4 at 2pm. AMPSTA further said that the Education Department has granted the special holiday to enable teachers to attend the programme on that day.
Chief Secretary Donald P Wahlang will be the Chief Secretary at the inaugural function.
