To commemorate the 80th death anniversary of famous Khasi poet Soso Tham, the Khasi Student Union today inaugurated the Soso Tham Memorial Secondary School at Lawsohtun Block 6.
The school will offer free education to students in classes 8, 9, and 10, including for dropouts, coming from the poor economic backgrounds. Each class will comprise 30 students.
Admission for the 2021 academic session will begin shortly.
KSU President Lambokstarwell Marngar inaugurated the school in the presence of former KSU President Daniel Khyriem, Mylliem MLA and former KSU leader Hamletson Dohling, Laban MDC Mitchell Wankhar and Lawsohtun Rangbah Shnong Lurshai Shylla.
