The Additional Deputy Commissioner (S) in charge of Sohra Civil Sub-Division has warned against any hoarding of sugar with the intention of driving up the price.
In a notice issued today, stock traders, wholesalers, retailers, sugar processors, et al under the sub-division were told to refrain from hoarding sugar in order to create artificial shortages and, therefore, an inflation in price.
Further, the ADC has directed those applicable to register and upload sugar stocks on the government portal http://esugar.nic.in for real-time monitoring of stock of sugar.
