Shillong, Sep 30: Shillong Vidyalaya Secondary School marked a significant milestone by celebrating its 75th anniversary with a vibrant day of inter-school competitions.
The event held on September 25, supported by NESkills featured elocution, storytelling, and quiz competitions, attracting talented students from various schools.
The competition winners are, in Elocution (Classes 6-8): first prize was Catherine Shadap, Lumparing Vidyapith Secondary School, second prize was won by Deibormi G. Myrthong of Dainty Buds Secondary School and the third prize was won by Starryna Teronpi of Rilbong P.N. Choudhuri H.S. School.
In Storytelling for Classes 9-10, the first prize was won by Buhbhami Shylla of Shillong Vidyalaya Secondary School, second prize went to Shaniahskhem Phalangki of Shillong Vidyalaya Secondary School and the third prize was won by Daniel Shabong of Dainty Buds Secondary School.
In the Quiz Competition for Classes 9 and 10, the first prize was won by Anesh Das & Ebyntami Shylla of Shillong Vidyalaya Secondary School and the second prize went to Dioni Ch. Marak and Simran Kumari of Shishu Mandir Secondary School.
Dr. Sujoy Hazarika, President of the Managing Committee, and the Headmistress expressed their gratitude to the participating schools and encouraged students to strive for academic excellence.
This celebration not only marked a significant achievement in the school’s history but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the students.
