Shillong, Apr 21: The Badminton Promotional Group (BPG), a registered sports body, will organise the Shillong Open Badminton Tournament on April 24-25, 2026.
The tournament is being organised for men, women and players above 35 years old.
BPG is a collective body of sports enthusiasts whose aim is to promote the sports of badminton in particular and physical and overall well being of our youths.
The forthcoming Open Badminton Tournament is a prelude to the upcoming Promotional Tournament slated to be held in July.
Shuttlers across the North East are participating, including from Aizawl, Imphal, Dibrugarh, Jorhat and Guwahati as well as Jowai and Shillong. Some of these have even taken part at the World Badminton Masters.
