The Jaintia National Council’s (JNC) western zone unit has strongly criticised the allegedly shabby construction of a road from Pdengshakap to Muktapur.
Informing that the road construction was sanctioned in 2022 and started this year, the JNC said that within months of construction this stretch of the road is now dilapidated.
They blamed the contractor for the shabby construction and said that the road does not even have drains on its sides, which is bad in a region that gets a lot of rain.
