A SF-10 commando from 2nd MLP battalion died in a road accident at Wahblei Bridge in West Khasi Hills on Thursday.
Commando Emanuel Thongni completed his basic training as SF-10 commando from 2nd MLP battalion barely two days, police said. A resident of Nongkynna, the commando was on his way back home from Mawphanlur riding his scooty. At Wahblei Bridge his scooty skidded off the road following which he lost control of his the vehicle and sustained severe injuries.
He was admitted to Riangdo CHC in an ambulance, but succumbed to his injuries. He had gone home for a short break but fate decided it otherwise.
