Altogether 3,868 students are yet to receive money under the pre-matric and post-matric scholarship funds due to payment failures.
The Chief Minister’s office took to social media and stated that non compliance of KYC, account change, account mismatched and beneficiary migration from minor to major were reasons for unsuccessful payment of the scholarship.
The office said payment failures can be corrected only by individual beneficiaries. “In this regard press notifications have been issued informing the students concerned to correct the bank accounts, KYC etc. Every effort is being to resolve the issues. Concerned banks also have been asked to resolve the problems and issue,” it added.
Under the pre-matric scholarship, payment was made to 2,518 students out of 2,673 and 54,733 out of 58,443 students under the post matric scholarship.
