The members of the Sanathan Dharmasabha Harishava, Laban, held a condolence meeting today to pay tribute to member Biman Talukdar, who died prematurely on September 20.
Talukdar had been a very active committee member, being the ex-general secretary of the puja committee. “He was always a positive minded person. We have lost a very fantastic and dynamic person,” a release said today.
Fondly known as Moloy da, the committee has decided that, in his honour, the Harishava stage will be called Moloy Manch. Talukdar was meant to perform a drama piece on October 10 for the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Harishava Puja Committee.
Members present at the condolence meeting offered a floral tribute and observed two minutes silence.
