To promote transparency and accountability in governance, the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) organised a training programme on the Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005 for East Jaintia Hills officials.
The day-long training aimed to educate government officials on key aspects of the RTI Act, including citizens’ roles and duties, the role of appellate authorities and practical guidance on using the Mission Karmayogi (iGOT) Portal and the Meghalaya RTI Portal.
Emilia K Massar, Assistant Director at MATI, led the training session, equipping officials with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle RTI queries effectively.
