Shillong, Nov 21: The Meghalaya State Information Commission today released another informative booklet titled ‘Duties and Responsibilities of the Applicant under the Right to Information Act 2005’, further expanding its efforts to promote awareness and strengthen understanding of the RTI framework among citizens and stakeholders.
The booklet was officially released by Rebecca V Suchiang, Chief Information Commissioner, and Ripnar Lyngdoh, Information Commissioner, at a brief function held at the Commission’s office.
The booklet aims to support the overall objectives of the RTI Act by fostering mutual accountability among information providers and seekers, thereby strengthening transparency, accountability and good governance, a press release stated today.
