Nongpoh, Feb 27: In a major step towards strengthening education and supporting youth employment, the Ri-Bhoi district administration has launched a free app-based coaching aimed at assisting school students and government job aspirants across the district.
The app promises round-the-clock academic support for students from Classes 9 to 12. At the same time, it also provides a dedicated platform for students who have completed Class 12 and are preparing for competitive examinations for government jobs, both at the state and central levels.
Before the official implementation of the app, the office of the Deputy Commissioner yesterday convened a meeting at the District Library in Nongpoh with principals and headmasters of Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools across the district. The meeting aimed to demonstrate the app’s features and explain how it would function to assist students, particularly those who require additional academic support to strengthen their knowledge and skills.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal along with C. Awasthi, SDO of Patharkhmah Civil Sub-Division, and other district officials.
Speaking to the media, Baranwal stated that the app has two major components. The app is offering 24-hour access to study materials, notes, and other academic resources. It also includes a monitoring dashboard for school principals and district authorities, enabling them to track students’ academic progress. This system will help identify students who are excelling as well as those who need additional guidance, allowing teachers to provide targeted support, he said.
The primary objective, he emphasised, is to enhance the overall learning standards and critical thinking abilities of all students in the district.
The second component of the app is tailored for students who have completed Class 12 and are preparing for government job examinations. Through this platform, youth from Ri-Bhoi can register and access relevant information about job opportunities without paying any fees. The district administration has ensured that the app remains completely free for users.
The application has been developed through a collaborative effort between the District Administration and FILO, with financial support from NITI Aayog. Students and job aspirants can register through the link: https://tinyurl.com/25c5rwpc
The district administration expressed hope that this initiative will significantly benefit school students and empower young job seekers across Ri-Bhoi district.
