New quarters of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) was inaugurated at the Tura campus today.
The buildings consist of 19 residential quarters for Professors, four quarters for Group D employees and two for the hostel wardens.
Besides this, a computer centre with facilities of 100 computer systems was also inaugurated which will cater to needs of the people of Garo Hills and aid the testing agencies to conduct various national level tests.
NEHU vice chancellor, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla said this was the beginning of other developmental works to be seen in the university in the next two three years as many more infrastructural development works will be started.
He accompanied by Prof. S. Gurudev, Campus In charge, teaching and non- teaching staff of the Tura campus.
