An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale struck North Garo Hills today.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at 11:35 am.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.4, Occurred on 06-05-2023, 11:35:33 IST, Lat: 25.89 & Long: 90.67, Depth: 5 Km, Location: North Garo Hills,” NCS said in a tweet.
The North Eastern region of India falls in the high seismic zone, making earthquakes frequently hit the region.
