The East Khasi Hills district administration has banned holding of any demonstration or rally within 200-metre radius of the Main Secretariat and Governor’s House here.
In the order issued today, Deputy Commissioner Rosetta Mary Kurbah said that the ban was issued following reports received that certain organisations were planning to organise demonstrations in the city.
Kurbah also said that the order has come into force from today and till further order.
