President of India Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to Meghalaya.
The President will inaugurate the 5th Meghalaya Games 2024 at Tura on January 15. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the games would be historic.
He said the President’s visit to the Meghalaya Games will encourage the youths and participants of the games and would enhance and enrich the program by promoting competitiveness and sportsmanship amongst all participants.
With 22 different disciplines, more than 3,000 athletes are preparing to exhibit their diverse talent at the games.
The President will be in Shillong next day after inauguration of the games, to lay the foundation stone for the Shillong Ropeway project and attend various programmes.
