The Sengsamla Dongrum Phlangwanbroi in collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong organised an awareness programme on ‘Combating Covid-19, Mask Awakening and Action Camping’ at Malai Sohmat Upper Primary School in Phlangwanbroi.
The aim of the programme held on December 1 was to enlighten residents of the area on the need of masks in combating Covid-19 and to strictly follow laid down protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
Dr R Suchiang of the Mawsynram CHC attended the awareness programme and urged people to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
Others who attended the programme were Enborlang Wanniang general secretary of the Sengsamla Dongrum Phlangwanbroi, Acting Syiem of Hima Malai Sohmat, B Dewsaw, Rangsan Sohmat Rangbah Shnong of Phlangwanbroi, J.K.Iawrod Principal of Malai Sohmat Higher Secondary school, Phlangwanbroi, N.D.Iawphniaw Headmaster ka Malai Sohmat Upper primary School, Phlangwanbroi, Luckystar Lyngkhoi and Denishan Iawrod of NYVs Mawsynram Block and others.
