The partially decomposed body of a man was found between Saipung and Bamkhowsngi in East Jaintia Hills on January 4 and awaits identification and claim.
The man was, it is believed, a tribal between 60 and 70 years old. He is suspected to have died due to the cold weather. He was around 5 feet tall, with an oval face, swarthy complexion, black hair and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue trousers, brown and blue tracksuit and grey and blue socks.
The corpse is being stored at the Khliehriat Civil Hospital morgue and Sub-Inspector S Shadap has been put in charge of the case. Those who can identify the deceased are requested to contact the officer on +91 9362689175.
