The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution held a meeting with the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology Department and Meghalaya State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (MSCDRC) here today.
The meeting was chaired by the chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee, L Chatterjee, in the presence of Shakil P Ahammed, Principal Secretary of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Pravin Bakshi, Commissioner Secretary of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, among other senior officials of the state government.
Later, the members of the Parliamentary Committee also visited the Food Corporation of India’s Food Storage Depot here.
