The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alerts for four districts in Meghalaya on Friday.
North Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills, East Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning with heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated places. .
The rest of the state will be under a yellow alert (one level below orange).
Weather forecasts are fluid, however, the IMD may change its advice when it issues a new update tomorrow.
