Shillong, Feb 21: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Meghalaya Police intercepted a suspected drug consignment near the Shillong Bypass and arrested one Wanbor Kharpran.
On February 20, Kharpran was driving a Maruti 800 car (ML-05-K-7414) when he was stopped by the team near the ISBT.
During a search two plastic boxes containing suspected heroin weighing 22.14 grams was recovered.
The accused along with the car and the seized contraband was handed over to Mawlai Police Station.
Police are probing forward and backward links, including any interstate connections, as part of intensified anti-narcotics drives in Shillong.
